Sophie is the founder and lead hair and makeup artist behind SJ Bridal & Events, bringing over 10 years of experience in the hair and makeup industry. What began as a passion for helping women feel confident has grown into one of South East Queensland's most trusted bridal hair and makeup teams.
Known for her calm, organised approach and timeless styling, Sophie specialises in creating elegant looks that enhance each client's natural beauty while ensuring they feel relaxed, confident, and truly looked after throughout the entire experience.
Under Sophie's leadership, SJ Bridal & Events has earned multiple industry awards, including being recognised as an ABIA finalist for four consecutive years, placing in Queensland's Top 10 for both bridal hair and makeup, and receiving a Brides Choice Award. The team is also proud to have over 120 five star Google reviews from happy brides who have trusted them with one of the most important days of their lives.
Sophie has carefully built a team of talented artists who share the same passion for exceptional service, consistency, and attention to detail. Together, they can cater for everything from intimate weddings through to large bridal parties, ensuring every client receives the same high standard of care and beautiful results.
As well as providing on location services across South East Queensland, SJ Bridal & Events also offers appointments from their beautiful purpose built bridal studio in Margate. Designed exclusively for bridal previews and appointments, the studio provides a relaxed, private space where brides can enjoy a personalised experience while bringing their wedding vision to life.

Lisa is a talented makeup artist known for her calm presence, attention to detail, and ability to make every client feel comfortable in her chair.
Lisa has over 10 years of experience in the makeup industry and brings a calm, friendly presence to every wedding morning.
She spent five years with Inglot including managing the store, where she developed extensive knowledge in makeup artistry, colour matching and skincare. It was through her time at Inglot that she discovered her passion for bridal makeup, and she’s been specialising in weddings ever since.
Lisa loves creating timeless, elegant looks that enhance each client’s natural beauty rather than masking it. Her focus is on making every bride feel confident, relaxed and radiant, ensuring they still look like themselves, just the most polished and beautiful version, on one of the most important days of their lives.

Danika- Hair Artist
Danika is a fully licenced hairdresser but her passion has always been in styling. Danika has a knack for creating hairstyles that feel effortlessly elegant while still reflecting each client's individual style. Whether you're dreaming of romantic waves, textured upstyles, sleek sophistication, or something uniquely your own, she works closely with you to bring your vision to life.
Brides love Danika for her friendly nature, creativity, attention to detail, and ability to create hairstyles that not only look incredible in photos but feel comfortable and secure from aisle to dance floor.
tracy- hAIR & mAKEUP aRTIST
With over 30 years of global experience across the hair, makeup, and beauty industries, Tracy brings an incredible wealth of expertise to our team. Her career began with hairdressing and bridal styling in the UK before she took her talents to New York, working backstage in theatre makeup and hair. After settling in Brisbane, Tracy earned a Diploma of Specialised Makeup Services with distinction, alongside an International ITEC Diploma and credentials that led her to teach the next generation of artists at TAFE Qld.
Highly respected in the industry, Tracy was even enlisted as the Creative Director for all makeup competitions at the Brisbane Hair and Beauty Expo. Her diverse portfolio spans high-fashion editorial work for the Gucci in-house runway, short films, and major television sets, including Disney's H2O, The Real Housewives of Melbourne, and FBoy Island. Despite her elite resume, Tracy's absolute favorite place to be is in the bridal suite; her warm, easy-going humor and fun energy are the perfect antidote to any wedding day nerves!
